Newtown High School celebrates successful A Level results

Students at Newtown High School are celebrating after receiving their A Level and AS Level results.

The school said this summer’s AS Level results were also pleasing, with Verity Despres-Davies achieving an outstanding set of grades.

Headteacher Natalie Havard said: “I wish to congratulate our students on their AS and A Level results.

“It was a pleasure to see the students collecting their results today and achieving some outstanding grades.

“I would like to thank all of our school staff who have worked tirelessly in supporting our students through their studies. Their hard work and continued efforts have clearly paid off.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our parents and carers whose support has helped our students to achieve so much.

“Good luck to all of our students as they embark on the next stages of their education, careers and future. We wish you every success.”

Among those achieving strong results was Stanley Evans-Dulson, who will study Maths at Lancaster University.

Kateryna Buchkovska has secured a place to study Zoology at the University of Gloucestershire, while Ben Blackburn will study Physics at Lancaster University.

Dennis Kozma plans to study Mechatronics and Robotic Systems at the University of Liverpool.
