Fun day planned at local fire station

Residents across north Powys are being invited to enjoy a day of family fun while supporting a good cause as Montgomery Fire Station prepares to host a community open day later this month.

The event will take place at Montgomery Fire Station on Sunday, 21 June, with firefighters welcoming visitors of all ages for a range of activities and demonstrations.

Organisers say the open day will give the public an opportunity to learn more about the work of the fire service while enjoying refreshments, children’s activities and live demonstrations.

The event is also raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity, which provides lifelong support to serving and retired firefighters, fire personnel and their families.
