Free information event to focus on sight loss support

Residents in Llanidloes and the surrounding area are being invited to a free information event focused on sight loss support and local services available across Powys.

The Powys Sight Loss and Support Services Information Day will take place at Bodlondeb in Llanidloes on Wednesday, 10 June, between 2pm and 4pm.  

The event aims to connect people experiencing sight loss, along with family members, carers and anyone interested in learning more, with organisations offering practical advice and support.

A range of services and groups are expected to attend, including the Vision Impairment Team, Eye Clinic Liaison Officer service, Hearing Impairment Team, Care and Repair, Mid Powys Home Support and Powys Talking Newspaper. Organisers say additional exhibitors will also be present.  

The event has been organised by Powys County Council’s Sensory Loss Service and is free to attend.
