Community groups, charities and organisations across the Newtown area can now apply for grants of up to £10,000 after Hilltop Food Group launched its 2026 Community Fund.
The Newtown-based company has opened applications for the latest round of funding, aimed at supporting projects and organisations within a 15-mile radius of the town.
The initiative forms part of Hilltop Food Group’s wider social and environmental commitments and is designed to support organisations helping create positive change in local communities.
Groups eligible to apply include community organisations, charities, not for profit groups, schools, councils and statutory bodies.
Executive Chairman and Founder Scott Davies said the fund reflected the company’s commitment to giving back to the area that has supported the business since it was founded in 2011.
“This is our fifth year running the Community Fund and it’s so rewarding to look back and see the impact that our grants have had on local businesses,” he said.
“I’m proud to be from Newtown so giving back to the community and seeing it thrive even more is incredibly important to me.”
Applicants can request a share of the £10,000 fund and outline how the money would be used within their organisation.
Previous recipients of support have included Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre, Newtown Midwives, Bettws Lifehouse, Men Shed, Cultivate, Penygloddfa Primary School and Croco Doco Dile Playgroup.
Projects applying for funding must align with Hilltop’s priorities, including driving positive change, reducing environmental impact, promoting health and wellbeing, or supporting culture and transformation.
Applications for the 2026 Community Fund opened on Tuesday, May 26 and close on Tuesday, June 16. Successful applicants are expected to be notified by the end of June.
