Whist Drive returns to village after many years

A whist drive is taking place in Abermule today, marking the return of the traditional card game to the village after many years.

The event is being held at Abermule Community Centre this evening (Monday, April 27), with organisers saying it is the first whist drive locally for a long time.

All whist players are welcome to attend. Doors open at 7pm, with play starting at 7.30pm. Entry costs £3.

The evening has been organised by the Powys Montgomery Federation of Women’s Institutes.
