Newtown and District Civic Society has announced their Annual General Meeting will take place next Tuesday, 8th April, at the Crescent Christian Centre on Milford Road.
The AGM will commence at 7pm and will be followed by a special presentation at 7.30pm. Local historian Mary Oldham will deliver a talk entitled "Out and About in Newtown in 1875", offering attendees a glimpse into life in the town during the Victorian era.
The society welcomes both members and non-members to the event. While admission is free for members, non-members are asked to pay £3.
Those interested in learning more about the society's activities or wishing to become members are encouraged to attend by the society.
The Newtown and District Civic Society plays an important role in preserving and promoting the town's heritage and architectural character, organising regular talks and activities throughout the year.
