Hedgehog rescue issues SOS for urgent supplies

Welshpool’s very own hedgehog rescue operation has issued an urgent appeal for supplies as it deals with a rising number of inpatients.

Hokey Pokey Hedgehog Rescue was featured on MyWelshpoolTV last year and has done an outstanding job in saving the livings of dozens of hogs since.

But it relies heavily on the goodwill of residents for supplies and last night it said that with ‘baby season’ coming up, they were running out.

The group’s Heather Chave (pictured) said: “We’re running out of supplies and it’s baby season coming up so if anyone can donate items I would be very grateful.

“I need unscented baby wipes, strong bin bags, jay cloths, puppy pads, kitten food (not fish), kitten biscuits, and Royal Canin baby puppy mousse.”

Ms Chave said that a collection bin has been located at Alexanders in Welshpool, or supplies can be dropped at the operation HQ at 9 Erw Wen, Welshpool, SY217HG.
