TV star Danny Dyer will highlight what it's like to be the victim of domestic abuse as a man following a visit to Newtown's Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre.

The actor, best known for his role in the BBC Eastenders soap opera, spent a day at the centre last year to meet the male victims of domestic abuse.

It will feature in a programme being aired on Channel 4 on Tuesday, 16 April and Wednesday, 17 at 10pm.

Danny spent the day with us last year at our male refuge to see for himself the impact of domestic abuse on male victims, listening to their stories and the difficulties they faced accessing help and support,” said Gary Stephens, Refuge Team Lead for Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre.

“The documentary will raise awareness of existing services available for men and their children. We hope men who are living through the nightmare of domestic abuse will find the strength to seek help when they watch the programme and realise they are not alone.”

The documentary explores what it means to be a man in modern Britain, and features interviews with men from all walks of life, including male victims of domestic violence.

The series follows actor Danny Dyer as he travels across Britain talking to men about masculinity, mental health, and male identity.
