Residents unsure of when their next three week refuse collection is can now check on a new area of Powys County Council’s website.
The council has launched a new refuse and recycling collection search facility on its website which enables residents to enter their postcode, select their address and then be provided with a list of future refuse and recycling collection dates.
This new search facility can be found on the ‘Bin Collection’ page on the Powys County Council website at the following address: http://www.powys.gov.uk/en/bins-rubbish-recycling/bin-collection-day/
Councillor John Powell, Cabinet Member for Environment and Sustainability, said: “We are delighted to launch this new search facility on the website which enables residents to check and make a note of their future waste collection dates.
“Those that do not have access to the internet, can contact Customer Services on 0845 602 7035 who will provide this information for you.”
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information is accurate as possible, however with the introduction of a new system on this scale, we anticipate some initial teething problems.
Discrepancies may arise due to issues with postcodes and any anomalies in the information provided should be reported on the feedback form found at the bottom of the search page: http://www.powys.gov.uk/en/bins-rubbish-recycling/bin-collection-day/bin-day-search-problems/.
This is extremely important to ensure that the search information is kept up to date and as accurate as possible.
This extremely useful tool will also enable the large number of queries received from residents regarding their collection day/week to be dealt with efficiently and effectively.
