Police have charged two men following the weekend's fatal three vehicle car accident between Newtown and Welshpool.
The accident happened on Saturday evening on the A483 at 6.15pm. A man died in the accident and a child was airlifted with serious injuries to hospital.
In a statement, Dyfed Powys Police said: "Abubakr Ben Yusaf, aged 29, has been charged with drug driving, causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.
"Umar Ben Yusaf, aged 33, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured, and failing to stop after a road traffic collision."
