Newtown will be rebranded next year

A new brand will be unveiled next year to enhance Newtown as a visitor destination and attract new business investment.

A project to create a brand for the town has been underway for a couple of years. Consultants were brought in to develop a brand that would help promote it locally and nationally, but the work has been kept under wraps for commercial reasons.

The town council's Economy and Environment Committee will receive a report next week updating them on the progress. The report states that a launch will take place in April 2025.

"Committee will be aware the Newtown Brand launch will coincide with the Celebration of Newtown event. Theatre Hafran has provisionally held the 10 April 2025 for the Celebration of Newtown event and the Launch of the Newtown branding," it states.

On the same day, a pop-up area will be unveiled in the town centre to help promote it to the local population.

The town council hopes the work and brand will attract tourists and businesses to the town and support local initiatives.
