School coach fire - pupils safe

A coach carrying pupils to Bishops Castle from the Newtown and Kerry area has caught fire.

It is understood all on board were safe after a Tanat Valley coach caught fire between Kerry and Sarn this morning. The pupils were taken to the nearby village hall car park.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they had been called out to a blaze and the Newtown crew were on scene.

The A489 is open following the incident earlier this morning.
