Preperations underway for 10th Newtown Food Festival

Newtown is preparing for a bumper weekend next week with the town's annual food festival set to attract hundreds into the town hall grounds.

It will be the tenth year of the event.

Additionally, the Phil Price Memorial Woodpecker Rally will start in the town centre on Saturday, 7 September.

Food festival organisers say stands and stalls have been sold out, so visitors can expect a wide array of produce available to taste and buy.

The event includes the Festival Kitchen, Main Stage, Children's Village, and Cultivate area.

The main stage events begin on Saturday and include bands, circus workshops, folk music, and more beginning at 10am.

The children's village also has a range of entertainment, events, and workshops over the weekend.
