Call for pond in Dolerw Park

A town council committee has welcomed an idea to create a pond in Newtown's Dolerw Park.

The Services Committee considered the idea at Monday evening's meeting when it was suggested grant funding could be considered for a pond in the park.

It was suggested to the committee that it could help attract more people to the area.

The committee welcomed the idea but did not take a vote on it.
