Six young traders will have stalls at Newtown's street market on 18 June.
The traders will be selling goods they've produced as part of a national scheme that is supported by Newtown Town Council.
They will be trading among other weekly market traders on Broad Street and High Street. They are aged between 16 and 30 years.
Councillors were told at Monday's Services Committee that it was a good opportunity for people to support the Charter Market that is managed by the town council.
The Young Traders Market is promoted by the National Market Traders Federation and is run across the country. It culminates in a national final that was staged in Newtown in the past.
It comes as the town council is trying to rejuvenate the town's street market. It was reported by MyNewtown recently that the town council wanted to attract more traders and shoppers.
The the Services Committee it was confirmed that a fruit and vegetable trader had been attracted back to the market last week and was likely to be at this week's market.
