Budding firefighters invited to an experience day
Budding firefighters are being invited to an experience day at Newtown Fire Station later this month.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue is holding the event to demonstrate the role of a firefighter to anyone thinking of joining the service as an on-call member of the team.
Crews from Newtown will be on hand to demonstrate the kit and technology used.
"If you've ever considered becoming a firefighter, attending one of our Experience Days is a great way of helping you make an informed decision before applying," said a spokesperson.
The event takes place on Wednesday, 19 June between 10am and 1pm.
During the session, you'll have the opportunity to try on the firefighting kit, learn how to assemble equipment and take part in a practical exercise.
