History group to launch 2024 calendar

The history of Newtown will be on display in the town centre on Saturday.
Newtown Local History Group will have a stall in Bear Lanes Shopping Centre to launch its Newtown 2024 Calendar and Volume 90 of the Newtonian Journal.
"We shall also be joined by author Dr Quentin Deakin who is signing his new book 'Wales in World War 2' which includes photographs of Montgomeryshire and Powys," said Ann Evans of the community group.
Newtown Local History Group Volunteers have been researching and digitally preserving the town's social history and cultural heritage for future generations for over 30 years.
