Newtown Musical Theatre Company (NMTC) is continuing to prepare for its next production, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’, with a new young choir.
The show will be performed at the Hafren in Newtown from the 17th – 20th October.
For the show, the company will be joined by a children’s choir, made up of 19 youngsters who attend a range of local schools, including Newtown and Caereinion high schools, Bishop’s Castle Community College, Hafren School, Penygloddfa School, St Michael’s School, Treowen School, Ysgol Dafydd Llwyd, Ysgol Dyffryn Trannon, Ysgol Rhiw Bechan, Forden School and Norbury Primary School.
Les Skilton, of NMTC and one of the show’s directors, said: “We are delighted that this group of youngsters are joining us on stage for ‘Joseph’. We have been really impressed with their energy and enthusiasm, and can’t wait for our audiences to see the results of their hard work.”
Performances will take place at 7.30pm each evening, and a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday, 20th October.
