Man dies following A489 collision near Caersws

A man has died following a collision involving a car and a heavy goods vehicle on the A489 near Caersws.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the collision happened at around 10am on Sunday, August 30, and involved a beige Honda Civic and a white Renault HGV.

The driver of the Honda was taken to hospital by air ambulance but later died.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. No other injuries were reported.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision and have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to contact Dyfed-Powys Police.
