Feasibility study planned for pedestrian crossing - in 2025

A new pedestrian crossing could be created close to where the new cycle and walking bridge access is created on Lower Canal Road.

The idea has been put forward by Newtown Town Council to Powys County Council.

On Thursday, the Strategy and Corporate Projects Committee will consdier a response to a meeting held with the county council.

It suggests a feasibility study could be financed in the next financial year for the project along with Active Travel routes on Canal Road to Cambrian Way, along with routes in Llanllwchaiarn and Dolerw park.
