Male voice choir prepares for annual concert

There will be singing filling the air in Newtown next weekend when the town's male voice choir hosts its annual concert.

Newtown and District Male Voice Choir will host the event at 7.30pm on Saturday 28th September, at Hope Church.

The choir will perform a variety of songs from their repertoire, including some popular favourites and some new pieces. They will be conducted by Musical Director, Sarah Astley-Davies, and accompanied by John Evans. The compere for the evening will be Iwan Owen.

This year, they will be joined by two guest artists, Soprano Jessica Robinson, a recent finalist in the Cardiff Singer of the World Competition, and local Tenor Rhodri Prys Jones, who is originally from Llanfyllin and now performs with the Welsh National Opera Chorus.
