Mickey Mouse and the talented Castle Belles are joining the fun this Friday when Llanfair Caereinion officially lights up for Christmas.
Organisers are promising “loads of new lights” with the big ‘switch-on’ set to take place at 6pm in the Market Square.
The lights will be turned on by Mickey Mouse with help from a local youngster who will be deemed by judges to be wearing the best Christmas outfit on the night.
The church will be lit-up in colourful lights to provide a stunning backdrop with the Castle Belles taking the entertainment into the evening.
There will also be a small illuminated tractor procession transporting Santa in his trailer.
After the event in the Market Square, the festivities will continue in the Institute with the Community Cafe, Christmas stalls, and a children’s entertainer.
Father Christmas will be in his new winter wonderland where he and his two elves will welcome children with a small gift. Visiting Father Christmas is free.
The event is being managed by Llanfair Caereinion Town Council.
