Newtown made short work of any fears of an upset in the JD Welsh Cup by storming into a 4-0 lead inside 19 minutes against Cefn Druids.

Jason Oswell (3), Luke Boundford (8), and Matty Owen (12 & 19) put the Robins into the driving seat before Neil Mitchell hit a 44th minute fifth. Mitchell wrapped it up in the 66th minute to ensure Newtown meet The New Saints in the next round after they won 5-2 at Barry.

Llanfair came unstuck in the Huws Gray Alliance, losing 1-0 at Gresford.
