Meifod reclaim top spot
Meifod have returned to the top of Honda Division One following another convincing win.
With main rivals Llanfair Reserves involved in cup action, Meifod returned to the top with a 4-0 win on the road at Llanrhaeadr Reserves thanks largely to a Rob Evans hat-trick.
In other league action, Llanymynech beat Trefonen 4-2 while Newtown Wanderers went second in Mitsubishi Two with a 4-2 win at Waterloo Colts.
There was no respite for struggling Caersws Reserves who took their poor league form into round two of The Robins (Newtown F.C.) League Cup. They were thrashed 5-0 at home by Waterloo Reserves. Llanfyllin hit Guilsfield Reserves for six while Kerry advanced from round one.
Llanfair Reserves moved into Round Two of the Tanners Town Cup following their 2-0 win at Welshpool Reserves.
In the M.P.Foulkes Montgomeryshire Challenge Cup, there were wins for Forden United and Churchstoke in round one and Berriew in round two.
