Bettws held up in title chase

Bettws had a big chance to place one hand on the Honda One title last night, but were held to a 2-2 draw at Waterloo Reserves.

The villagers have dominated the division with some sizzling displays, and with two games in hand on Caersws Reserves, it seems a matter of when not if.

But last night’s draw has given some slim hope to the chasers, including Llanfyllin who won 3-2 at Meifod.

Guilsfield Reserves suffered a 5-1 defeat at Llanfair Reserves while Abermule thumped relegated Llangedwyn 7-0.

In Mitsubishi Two, the chase for runner up spot to Morda heated up with Forden United throwing themselves a lifeline by beating Kerry Reserves 3-1.
