Newtown hopes of a top six finish in the Welsh Premier League were seriously dented at Latham Park today.

Carmarthen ended a barren spell by beating the Robins 2-0 thanks to goals from Liam Thomas in the 19th minute and an 80th minute clincher from David Brooks.

Ceri James and Josh Davies hit first half goals to steer Porthmadog to a 2-0 win over Caersws in the Huws Gray Alliance while Llanidloes got their season back on track with a 5-2 win over Denbigh Town. Karl Seliarts, Jake Mumby and Jamie Breese hit fist half goals for the Daffs while Gwion ap Dafydd and Ollie Clark made sure of the points in the second half.

There's just no stopping Guilsfield in their relentless chase of League leaders Llandudno in the Huws Gray Alliance.

And the league's leading scorer Danny Barton was at it again as the Guils beat Holyhead 3-0. Chris Cathrall hit a 20th minute effort with Barton striking on 45 minutes before converting a 90th minute penalty

Llanfair are homing in on the the title and made short work of Aberystwyth University 6-1.

Berriew finally got their act together, beating strugglers Four Crosses 3-1. While Montgomery lost 4-1 at Carno
