Quaker meeting to return each month.

Quakers will meet in Newtown for the first time in many years.

A local group has announced it will start meeting at Mill Close Community Centre every fourth Sunday of the month at 10.45am, starting on 24 November.

Quakers have met in Newtown for many years, but the nearest regular meeting is in Llanidloes. 

“We want to give people the opportunity to experience the peace and silence of a Quaker Meeting,” said a local Quaker. “We don't try and convert people, just offer the chance to find if it is the right space for them.”
