A Newtown student is just one of 10 from Wales to embark on a very special educational trip to the Inns of Court in London.
Newtown High School sixth former, Lucy Hughes, has been accepted into the prestigious Lord Edmund-Davies Legal Education Summer (LEDLET) scheme.
She will be undertaking a week's worth of work experience with solicitors and barristers in London, attending court, further meetings and formal dinners at the Inns of Court next month.
“With only 10 spaces available it is an amazing achievement and we wish her the best of luck,” said a school spokesman.
