Flower festival at local chapel

21/06/2017 @ 11:44

A local church will be blooming next month when it hosts a flower festival in support of the WaterAid charity.

Pentre Llifior Methodist Chapel near Bettws Cedewain is holding the festival on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July.

The various displays will interpret the theme “The Voice of Creation” and visitors see the displays between  10.30am and 4.40pm on Saturday and 10.30am to 1.30pm on Sunday.

The chapel’s regular “Bacon Buddies” will be the refreshments on offer on Saturday until midday after which homemade cakes and drinks will be available throughout the remainder of the opening times.

“Entry to the flower festival is free,” said Mandy Thomas, chapel treasurer. “But any donations received will be passed on to the charity WaterAid so we hope that as many people as possible will be encouraged to visit us.

“Those calling in on Sunday will also be most welcome to join us for worship which commences at 2.30pm, when the preacher will be Rev Bill Rowell from Welshpool.”

The Chapel site offers both car parking and toilet facilities.
