Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after an accident at Trefeglwys.

The road remains closed today (Friday) after the accident this morning.

It is understood the accident involved a single motorcyclist heading towards Trefeglwys when the accident occurred close to the village entrance on the Llanidloes side.

The Wales Air Ambulance airlifted the motorcyclist to hospital with what is understood to be serious injuries.

Specialist police officers are today on the scene undertaking investigations and the road remains closed at Caersws and Llanidloes and is expected to remain closed until this evening.
