One of Newtown’s main car sales dealership sites has closed, placing the site up for sale.
Philip Paul Car Sales along Llanidloes Road has closed its doors, focussing on its main site in Oswestry instead.
The business has been in the town since it acquired the site when the former Wynnstay garage forecourt closed.
Property agents, Halls, said the site is now on the market for sale or rent.
It is not know if employees from the site have been transferred to the Oswestry base.
The site has been placed on the market for £495,000 or to rent at £38,000 a year, according to Halls.
The property provides a high quality car showroom providing a total gross internal floor area of 3,877 square feet and sits on a site of nearly half an acre.
“The property would lend itself to a variety of potential uses, subject to planning consent,” said James Evans, manager of Halls Commercial’s Shrewsbury office.
The first floor provides 1,438 sq ft of office accommodation and benefits from lift access from the ground floor.
