Accounts Assistant – General Register
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to join our busy Finance Department, reporting to the General Ledger & Stock Accounting Section Head. This role will be based at our Shared Service Centre, Unit 39, Mochdre Industrial Park, Newtown, which is responsible for all transactional accounting for Laura Ashley PLC.
The role is full-time, working 37½ hours per week .
A good understanding of accounting procedures is required.
Key responsibilities include the analysis and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and ensuring that all prepayments and accruals accounts are reflected accurately whilst meeting month end deadlines. The successful applicant will also be involved in other areas of accounting such as stock and fixed asset control and reporting.
Candidates must be computer literate, possess good communication skills, be confident working on their own initiative within tight deadlines, have sound knowledge of Excel and be educated to a minimum GCSE standard, or equivalent, with passes in Maths and English. A methodical approach to work is essential. Previous accounts experience is essential.
